The most important bill of rights to me is the judicial branch because it makes decisions based on 2 opinions. It is made with justice and i think if this did not exist we would have many problems going on in the world.
ReplyDeleteThe most important amendment to me is the very first amendment which states our freedoms of speech, religion, press, and the right to assemble. I believe this is most important baecause it gives the citizens of the U.S the oppurtunity to be uniquely unique. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and this amendment ensures us that we can feel comfortable expressing our views without criticism.
ReplyDeleteI feel that the most important amendent is Amendment IV. The amendment of privicy. Its
ReplyDeleteiportant to me because everyone, as well as the people of the U.S. is entitled to have privicy of their on personal affairs, as well as documents. No one should have to share or tell anything personal..unless its absolutely neccessary.
The Judicial Branch is not part of the Bill of Rights. Although they [the Supreme Court]have made decisions that have effected the interpretation of them. We shall be examining the actual first ten admendments on Wednesday and Thursday.

ReplyDeleteAmendment I and Amendment IX are more sacred to me then any of the other eight Amendments of The Bill of Rights. Amendment I (Basic Rights)allows me to have freedom of speech, press, religion, and peaceable assembly. The Amendment itself makes me feel like I am able to express myself peacefully and have the right to make my own decisions. Amendment IX ( Rights Of The People) is sacred to me because it gives people natural rights that is and is not listed in the Constitution. It also says that the federal government must respect these natural rights.
ReplyDeleteI beleive that Amendment IX is the most sacred because it states that people have more rights than those stated in the Bill of Rights.
ReplyDeleteI think that the first Amendment is the most sacred because it states the freedom of speech, religion, petition and press. All these things help us express ourselves in every way possible whether it be politically or religiously.
ReplyDeleteI, personally, believe that the first amendment, specifically the section on freedom of speech is the most sacred. Reason being because we as Americans have the freedom of speech, but to a certain extent. All speech isn't protected, therefore we can't express our feelings naturally.-
ReplyDeleteVery well written Miss Brown. A specific example to prove your point about limits on speech freedoms would have made your response flawless.
ReplyDeleteI belive the most important amendment is the freedom of speech ,because if it wasnt for this i wouldnt be able to live how i do,i wouldnt be able to say things how i want to or how i feel to.If it wasnt for the freedom of speech MLK wouldnt have been able to say i have a dream. If i wasnt for the freedom of speech have of our anscetors wouldnt have been able to have an effect like they did!!!!!Im happy that i have free speech
ReplyDeleteI believe the first amendment is the most important, Freedom of religion, speech assembly, and press. I feel that all people have the right to practice whatever religion they please and not be persecuted or put down in any way. I also believe that we should have the right to voice our opinion and say what we want to say, as long as the statements dont hurt anyone's reputation.
ReplyDeleteThe amendment that is most valuable to me is the first one. I think that being able to express yourself however you want to is what makes this country so great. This amendment allows you to have freedom that is rarely seen in other countries. With this amendment you can express yourself without fear of being punished by local authorities.
ReplyDeleteI believe that the first amendment(Freedom of religion, speech, and press) is the most important because everyone should have the right to have any religion they want without punishment, unlike the other countries like Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Iran. Also, everyone should have the right to express their opinions without hurting anyone.
ReplyDeleteTne first amendment is the valuable to me because it gives people the right to express themselves. I can choose what religion I want to be part of without being locked up or punished. Being able to speak what you feel and think (within reason) is a good thing because you have the opportunity to be heard. This amendment tells everyone that we are being treated and respected for being individuals and unique. And to me it demonstrates that we are not being ignored or mistreated like other countries.
ReplyDeleteThe amendments that I believe are the most valuable is the first and fourth amendments. I believe that everyone has the right to express theirself verbally. You may say things that other people may disagree with but you still have the right to express yourself. You also have the right to practice the religion of your choice. Other countries would punish you for practicing a religion that is not theirs which makes this amendment so important. The fourth amendment states that your property can not be searched unless the courts gives consent for it to be searched. I think this is important because everyone has that right to their privacy.
ReplyDeleteThe most important amendment to me is overall the Freedom of speech, religion, and press.
ReplyDeleteI think that's the most important amendment because people have the right to say whatever they feel like and also people have the right to believe in whatever they want to believe in without the opinion of others.
I couldn't choose which amendment was more sacred because in my opnion they are all equally as important as the next. These amendments were the basic problems that the 1700's struggled with. Im very appreciative that these are all amendments so that we don't have to struggle with these same issues. They are all very sacred and valuable.
ReplyDeleteThe right I hold most valuable is my freedom of speech. I think that speech is an undeniable human right that should not, and cannot, be denied by any government. I value my right to express myself because I enjoy debating and hope to spread equality and end racism with my ideas and philosophies.
ReplyDeleteAll of the Amendments are important to me because if we didn't have them it would be alot of things we wouldn't be able to do. But the one that I live by is the freedom of speech because we have our own a opinions, so we should be able to speak our minds. This includes standing up for our rights. If we didn't have this the world would be crazy. For example, if Dr.Martin Luther King didn't protest and boycott racism and segregation it might stiil be around.
ReplyDeleteThe most vaulable amendment to me is the frist one. It states that everyone in the U.S. has the freedom of religion. To my family and I religion is highly important.I dont think people should be afraid of saying and speaking about what they believe in.
ReplyDeleteMy opinion is that in all honesty EVERY Amendment is equally important because all of them set the framework for the laws & rules that we abide by, also they are rights & freedoms that fought oh so hard for very long ago. [J.London]
ReplyDeleteThe most valuable one to me would be the 8th amendment because if I was in any trouble my consequences wouldn't be harsh for something petty. Also I couldn't be discriminated against knowing that the person who is sentencing me doesn't like me for no apparent reason.
ReplyDeleteThe most important or valuable right I find is feedom or religion , speech, assembly, and press. I find this right the most important because it gives everyone the equal right to be unique and able to speak or voice their opinions. This right also gives people a right to choose whatever religion they would like and would not have to be killed or exiled if they do. This right gives people the chance to be who they are.
ReplyDeletei think the most important ammendment is the First one which states our freedoms of speech, religion, press, and the right to assemble. i believe this because if our country is free we shouldnt have to fall in with society we should be able to stand out and say what we want to say and do what we want to do. Be a part in which ever religion we please without judgement from others.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the III amendment is the most important. Because having strangers into your home is not safe...so the quartering act is important because it allows you to be able to say no. It gives you the right to be safe in a way. Thats why i think that the quartering act is most important.
ReplyDeleteOut of all of the amendments i would also pick the first one, because that amendment gives me the right of freedom of speech, press, and religion. I really like this right, because i can speak my thoughts and feelings without being judged. I can also be me without questioning, approval of others, and respected for my many beliefs.
ReplyDeleteI would pick the first amendment because it gives me freedom of speech and religion and in my family religion is a big part of life. Although i do think that freedom of speech is important also because noone should be afraid to say anything that they want to.
ReplyDeleteI believe the most important amendment is the right to bear arms. This is because people like me (short and weak) need some form of self defense. We can't always count on authorities to protect us. Having the right to carry a weapon is an equivalence to having the right to survival. The first instinct a human should have is survival.

ReplyDeletebelieve that the most valuable amendment is the 9th Amendment it says that the rights ratified anywhere shall not reduce these. This Amendment protects all of the Amendments put before it and ensures that no other law will ever take away these rights from you. this Amendment was crucial to insure that the government or anybody will not take away your rights.
ReplyDeleteI believe that the first amendment is the most sacred, because that is your basic freedom.Freedom of religion is my biggest thing, because I think it is an excellent right. I dont think everybody should have to believe in the same things.
ReplyDeleteI believe that the freedom of speech and religion is most sacred because i feel that i should be able to say whatever whenever i feel like it.
